A Level Results 2023

We are thrilled to share with our wider school community that once again, our Sixth Form is celebrating students impressive performances and attaining their chosen destinations in this year’s examinations. Students success, work ethic and determination was celebrated across a wide range of subjects and as they progress on to respected universities across the country to take up studies in specialist subjects, impressive apprenticeships and coveted careers.

Year 13 student Najib achieved an impressive AABB in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Economics. On receiving his results, she said: “I am absolutely delighted with what I have achieved, I couldn’t have asked for more from my teachers”. He now looks forward to studying Medicine at university in September.

Highlights of the 2023 examinations include:

  • 100% of grades awarded at A Level History were A*-C with 50% A*-B.
  • 80% of grades awarded at A Level Economics were A*C.
  • 10% of all grades awarded were A* or equivalent (D* at level 3 BTEC).
  • 32% of all grades awarded were A*A or equivalent (D*/D at level 3 BTEC).
  • 53% of all grades awarded were A*-B or equivalent (D*-M at level 3 BTEC).
  • 67% of all grades awarded were A*-C or equivalent (D*-P) at level 3 BTEC).
  • The average grade for BTEC Level 3 Business Studies was D, D, D.
  • 100% of grades awarded at A Level English were A*-C.
  • 75% of grades awarded at A Level Government of Politics were A*-C with 50% A*-B.
  • 60% of grades awarded for A Level Maths were A*-C with 50% at A*-B.
  •  Tahmid proudly celebrates a remarkable set of results in his BTEC results, attaining D*DD in Business and looks forward to starting his next chapter – having been offered a place at Queen Mary University to study Accounting and Finance, but tempted by exciting career prospects in the city.
  • Bow Sixth Former Bilkis achieved ABC in History, English and Psychology and is looking forward to attending University of London in September, to read Psychology.

Through a carefully planned personal development programme, aspirational curriculum and an extensive range of university, apprenticeship and career initiatives and programmes, we are confident that every student achieves our vision for their future and is evidenced in our delighted Year 13 cohort who are proudly accepting places at their first-choice universities and embarking on exciting and successful career and apprenticeship placements.

Headteacher Danny Lye commented: “Every year, our Sixth Form continues to flourish, as a result of our hardworking students and a commitment across the board to our students development. Our school and Sixth Form is bursting to the seams with relevant and engaging opportunities, personalised guidance and bespoke expertise, carefully planned to excite and inspire students. I am so proud that they have all worked so hard over the two years and can confidently declare them World and Career Ready!
