Studying Chemistry at Bow Sixth Form

Entry Requirements: Grade 6+6 in GCSE Combined Sciences: Trilogy or Synergy or grade 6 in Separate Sciences: Chemistry and 6 in GCSE Maths, in addition to five 5-9 grades or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.

Why study this course?

Chemistry helps you to be analytical and logical – these skills are useful for many careers, not just in science. It helps in lots of different subjects, can apply to everything and forms a great foundation. It is a core subject that takes you wherever you want to go in science and it is compulsory for medicine and some science degrees. It can lead to so many careers.

In a complex and changing world, the study of Chemistry is essential in our everyday lives and will be vital in helping the world respond to some of its biggest challenges. It forms a bridge between Physics and Biology and is highly regarded as an entry qualification to the large majority of Science and Engineering degree courses.
