Personal development

Boosting resilience, leadership and team building skills you will be encouraged to take part in national and international initiatives including Model Westminster and Model United Nations. 

Leadership opportunities

Encouraging ambition through sports leaders award, paid lunchtime supervisory roles, paid tuition roles working with Year 11 students and membership of our prestigious student ambassador team. 

Preparing for university life

Visits, day experiences summer placements, support with the application process to the broadest range of UK universities.

Nurturing body and soul

Enhancing your physical and mental wellbeing through a range of clubs including personal development, mindfulness and clubs. 

Philanthropy and volunteering

You will be actively involved in community outreach work including volunteering and collaborative partnerships with primary schools and other community and initiatives.  

Student voice

Connecting, preparing and motivating you to represent yourself and others so that young people’s voices are heard and making a contribution to improving the environment and school life via the school council, inclusion or charity committees, and the student ambassador team. You will also be involved in a coaching and mentoring programme with younger students.  

Work experience

In Year 12 you will experience the world of work through networking events and work placements. You will be supported to find tailored placements that fit your aspirations and interests.   

Mentoring programme

Through our strong partnership links you will be part of our one-to-one mentoring programme with a personal mentor who will support with careers advice, study strategies, university application and so much more. 

Support & guidance

Specialist Sixth Form tutors are on hand to provide specific post-16 guidance on university progression, career options and studying skills. The trained pastoral team offer outstanding care and support to our students throughout your time with us in the Sixth Form and our PSHCE programme is extensive.

Our Sixth Form has amazing facilities including specialist dance, drama and performance spaces, state-of-the-art gym facilities and spacious student common room. Take advantage of the vast range of Sixth Form clubs – from subject surgeries to politics, sports to enrichment experiences and House days.
